The purpose of celebrating the International Peace Day is to inspire students to remind them that we can create peace together. The theme of International Peace Day 2022 is "End racism. Build peace."
It is devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and people. Wordbridge School organized a special assembly and observed one minute silence in honour of the victims of violence. The students of different classes shared their thoughts and beliefs about peace. Saifan from Nursery, Adrian from Class VI and Zuena from class X shared their understanding and ideas on how to live in harmony and peace. A beautiful rendition "Heal the world" was performed by the students of class IX and X. The event wrapped up with a beautiful dance performance by the students of Junior School on "Wavin' Flag" and a speech by our honourable principal, Ms. Ruhi Firdaus Zaman. She stated, "it is not enough to only talk about peace, one must believe in it. And it is not enough to believe in peace, one must work towards it to achieve peace."
